I miss you Pretty Kitty,
but I had to let you go.
The pain in that decision
was something you would never know.
It seems like half a lifetime
you were so dear to me,
but to remedy your condition
was simply not meant to be.
You spent you last month near,
and close to me.
You held on quite affectionately,
your eyes were clear and free.
Pretty Kitty, don't you know
I was so sad to let you go?
But pleasant memories are left with me...
that you surely know.
I will always remember you,
and you'll live within my heart.
In these words, I find solice,
since we'll never be apart.
