"I Know a Place"
I know a place where the dune grass grows
on the banks by the blue green sea.
Where the gusty gale breaks through from the sea
and the dune grass waves and it weaves.
I know a place that is centuries old,
where the wild horses graze near the sea.
Where nature undisturbed sings and flows
in this place where the dune grass grows.
There is harmony in this place by the sea
and the sound of a symphony.
Where the birds and the wind
against the sand and the dunes
are a place of tranquility.
This place near the sea where the dune grass grows
lives on in my memory.
It reminds me of the days before man's foot ever tread
on this place by the blue green sea.
